Stacer Group Celebrates Our Largest Partnership at Garland ISD's State of the District
On August 31, we joined city leaders, Garland ISD Board of Trustees members, and Garland Chamber of Commerce members for the annual State of the District Luncheon, hosted by the Garland Chamber and sponsored by the Garland ISD Education Foundation. Superintendent Dr. Ricardo Lopez presented the district's strategic priorities, its workforce development initiatives, and the Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs preparing Garland ISD students for high-demand careers.
We shared a booth with the Advanced Academics program as part of the event's interactive showcase, where attendees could talk directly with GISD departments and CTE program leaders from Manufacturing & Welding, Engineering & Robotics, Information Technology, Business & Finance, Health Science, Architecture, Agriculture, Hospitality, Advanced Academics, Communications, and more.
Garland ISD is our largest partner district, and days like this are a good reminder of why that partnership matters. We work closely with Garland ISD's Advanced Academics and CTE programs to bring in more Industry Partners and develop hands-on classroom activities, so students can start forming a real-world professional network for students long before they graduate.
We would also like to congratulate Garland ISD, recently named Texas District of the Year by HEB Excellence in Education, an honor that comes with $100,000 to support continued innovation for students. It's a well-earned recognition of a district that shows up, every day, for its students, staff, and community.
Events like this are a great reminder of something we already believe: when businesses, educators, and community leaders work together, students win. We're glad to be part of that work in Garland, and we're looking forward to what's next.
